"Shipping Publications as has been a publisher of vessel information since 1982 when the first edition of The Norwegian Illustrated Ship List was launched. Since then we have grown so that the database today covers more than 100.000 commercial vessels. From the start we focused the information on the requirements of our customers, ship owners, shipbrokers, charterers, shipyards and most other sectors in the maritime business. We provide detailed and accurate data regarding the vessels’ cargo and performance. The database contains nearly all types of commercial shipping, including fishing vessels. As a Norwegian company the focus has been on the Scandinavian and European fleets, but today the database has expanded to now comprise most of the modern worldwide merchant fleet. Our main products include the Internet-based database SH ShipBase, ShipOnline and a series of printed annual directories.
